Understanding Addictions

I've been battling a smoking addiction most of my life. I'm a master of quitting, I quit all the time. It's those un-controlled moments that lead me back into the addiction where I can't function unless I have a cigarette. I've tried every trick in the book to stop this addiction, I know it's killing me. It's my drive that pushes me to find answers, find a way to end this problem. Our addictions control all aspects of our lives, even our addictive thought patterns. Finding the cure to addictions and I believe you find a cure for most illness's.

I believe those of us suffering from any addiction, over eating, smoking, drinking, drugs or workaholic to name a few, are the biggest heroes on this planet. There are two types of addictive personalities, those lost in the illness and those recognizing they must be fully consciously aware of all their thoughts in order to make healthy decisions.

It's been generations of addiction sufferers who have recognized the way to happiness involves the study of consciousness. This lead us to knowing ourselves, who we are, what is our purpose, how do we create the perfect life.

Addictions are nothing more then a core problem that needs to be transformed. However core problems creating an addictive behaviour involves holodynes (DNA = spinners of information) from our past, our parents or grand parents create years ago while they were dealing with something pretty traumatic. Addictions are extreme, they can only be caused by the worst human experience possible. Addictions kill so the choice to kill one's self is the logical decision with the information or logic stored in one's left brain of knowledge.

What logic would explain why globally we all suffer from addictive behaviours? From what hits home for me is the reality that should I get control of this smoking addiction, create

a brain where I have complete focus to attract the "Big House", "The Big Car", "The Perfect Vacations", "The Perfect Mate", I'd still have my heart broken to see other people suffer.

It feels insane to create My Perfect World, while living in such a dysfunctional world around me. I have 4 children who I am so proud of, I would give them the world yet the only gift I could give them is the Love they wish from their father. I cannot control the actions of another and because my life

involves watching the broken hearts of my children I will always have a reason to choose death over life. It's not logical thinking, it's the result of experiencing the pain caused by not having the control to stop something I personally feel is important.

I see our selves kill this very planet by not acting responsible and accountable in our decisions. We have a billion dollar industry in the sex trade involving children. The create minds of tomorrow will be raised with the insane actions of our present day. Those suffering from addictions understand the big picture, they suffer pain that hits home on a traumatic level as if it's happening to them personally while dealing with some pretty simple problems in comparison.

We can witness who I feel Hero's in our Native Indians. We've introduced addictions on their culture while others controlled and destroyed their families, their life style and their culture. Generations have gone by yet the holodynes, the pain relief in their suffering has been carried on to present day where it's not really understood in how to CURE their culture from addiction.

We've had generations suffer from wars, witnessing the mass killing of other cultures and that pain, those holodynes carried on to the new generations. We've enslaved other cultures, then freed them with the acceptance that they shouldn't be trusted, they can't function at the same level as other races. I cannot comprehend the emotions created by being stopped by police while driving your nice car simply because of the colour of your skin.

That hero's, those of us suffering from addictions hold great responsibility in the healing of this planet. We must recognize our logic in thinking death is the best alternative. We must learn to create a life without pain, create a life of understanding and good will towards others even our enemies. And we hold a responsibility to encourage others to live in their Full Potential, to wake up those who haven't realized the Bigger Picture of how we function as a Global Unit. One life affects the lives of others.

Addictions are created by Global problems. Transforming those holodynes requires you to investigate your Global values, see how active you are in living your own Full Potential in healing those values that are important to you.
